Certification

AALD developed one of the first Landscape Designer Certification programs in Canada, with professor John Higgins as its principal creator.
Since then, a national certification was developed by the Canadian Nursery Landscape Association (CNLA), in turn AALD has retired its own certification in support of this national “Landscape Industry Certified” program.

A Landscape Industry Certified Designer designation will provide you with a means of proving to your clients that you not only have the necessary education and industry experience, but also that you have written and passed an industry exam proving a high degree of proficiency in landscape design.

For information on becoming certified you can visit CNLA’s website, and look under Professional Development.
