Certification

AALD developed one of the first Landscape Designer Certification programs in Canada, with professor John Higgins as its principal creator.
Since then, a national certification was developed by the Canadian Nursery Landscape Association (CNLA), so AALD has retired its own certification in support of this national "Landscape Industry Certified" program.

A Landscape Industry Certified Designer designation will provide you with a means of proving to your clients that you not only have the necessary education and industry experience, but also that you have written and passed an industry exam proving a high degree of proficiency in landscape design.

For information on becoming certified you can go to CNLA's website, under Professional Development or contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .
